As much as I have never really been into love stories, I found this book really easy to enjoy. The plot follows a US Marine who finds a picture, in the desert in Iraq, of a woman back in America. From holding on to the picture, it brings him luck even “saving his life”. He then sets out to find the woman in the picture when he returns home. They meet, and engage in a romantic love affair, but he finds it impossible to tell her about the picture.

I wouldn’t want to spoil any more of it for you, but I definitely recommend you getting out there and downloading/ buying it yourself. The running theme of this is about questioning the possibility of fate and destiny, which is always a good subject for debate.

I have been recommended The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo ebook as my next read. I bought the DVD to watch but am yet to get round to doing so. I am debating whether or not I should read the ebook before watching the film. Either ways, I am rather glad that I am getting into fiction again. I find that occasionally, it’s good to get away from the stresses of fact-files, case studies and documents, and just read something that entertains.
